Ashridge

23rd April

We got up early on Sunday morning to catch the sun rise and the bluebells before church…and frankly, it was worth the effort! As we arrive at Dockey Wood it’s clear we’re not the only people with this idea, the car park by the Wood is almost full and it’s 7-30am. Nevertheless we have a good 45 minutes to take pictures before we need to leave, return to the car and on to church. At last I feel I have some value from my National Trust membership. The walk is short (3.9 miles) but that’s irrelevant as the diversion at Dockey Wood is the highlight.
